There are
so many hula hoops to choose from and I get asked this
question quite a bit.
Should I get a hula hoop with
ridges? My answer is this. They work and they work very
well but there are some advantages and disadvantage
for this style of hula hoop. I will break it down for
you and let you make the decision.
Hula hoops with ridges.
The Pros: Those
ridges are there for a reason. They are there to make
it easier to get the hoop going and keep it going for
extended periods of time. These are great for beginners
or anyone that has had trouble getting a hula hoop up
and spinning. They cost the same as a smooth hula hoop.
The Cons: Some
people have reported light bruising on their hips from
weighted hula hoops with ridges. You have to make sure
that you choose the right size hula hoop to begin with.
If you have a hula hoop that is the right size and weight,
you should not have any problems. If you feel that you
bruise easily then a Hula hoop with ridges is not for
you.
